Digestate treatment

Phase separation in the anaerobic digestion process aims to achieve several objectives: concentration of nutrients in the solid phase, reduction of liquid volume, decrease in storage size, production of high-quality amendments, and reduction of the solid fraction for further treatment.

Phase separation is carried out using a pump that extracts the digestate from the digester and transports it to the phase separator. The advantages of the phase separator include a high separation flow rate, low energy consumption, long lifespan without wear on the screw and screen due to a grooved profile, the ability to adjust the dry matter content up to 38%, and guaranteed sealing to prevent overflow thanks to specific technology.
